A Man and his Universe...

When I woke up that morning I had no idea the day would end with me, staring helplessly up from my broken, rag-doll position in a pool of blood, the asphalt around me strewn with the bodies of people less fortunate -- or maybe more fortunate than I, depending on your perspective. I remember there was glass, a lot of glass. Somewhere behind and to the left I could hear screaming, cries growing more and more distant as They moved through. Sometimes those cries cut off abruptly... too abruptly.

Nah, all of that is a lie, something I made up to grab your attention. The blog is the same kind of rolling monologue so popular today, the main difference being that it's a blog about a man finding his place in the world.

My name is Michael.

I'm this guy:

But this isn't just an ongoing story about me; it's the story of my thoughts, a tale woven of random ideas and musings. Frequently there's another player in this tale. That's THIS guy:

... or, as he's better known today, this guy:

...er, sorry; I don't think he meant for me to post that. A pic like that leaked to the press is not going to do a lot for his image in the public eye.

Okay, I've got the right one now. He's THIS guy:

Luke is my partner in both Crime and Justice. He's multi-talented, with skills ranging from the reorganization of your cabinet wares all the way to animal taming, as seen here, where we may witness his skills with beasts most ferocious and terrible:

Yep, mostly it's a long, weary, sometimes diaphonous tale of these two guys.
For now I'll be the one doing the writing since Luke is only eighteen months old.
Mostly, however, this blog is just an excuse for me to put up pictures of my son because he's so darned wonderful and I'm so proud of him.
And a place for me to bitch a lot when I'm in the mood.
It's not much of a first post but it's all you're getting for now, eh?
